Magical Miraloma Home
Nestled along the edge of Old Miraloma, this Art Deco home embodies modern living with high-quality turn-key finishes and an open social floor plan that still provides many private spaces for working and schooling from home.
Along the front of the home, the formal living room enjoys abundant sunlight through the oversized south-facing windows, peekaboo views of the SF Bay, and an eco-friendly electric fireplace with a flame-illusion. The living room opens directly into a dining room with space to accommodate up to eight or ten diners. The airy kitchen overlooks the dining room and is equipped with high-end finishes: a Bertazzoni range and hood, Bosch dishwasher and refrigerator, and quartz counters. More than being just beautiful, this kitchen is immensely practical with easy-clean high-gloss cabinets, ample cabinetry, bi-level counters, and a skylight to naturally illuminate your workspace.
A large versatile nook behind the kitchen is enhanced by a skylight and stands ready to serve as a home office, distance learning hub, or an expansion of your kitchen. Two spacious bedrooms with views to Sutro Tower are set at the back of the home for peace and privacy. The full bathroom on this level offers a dual-sink, bright skylight, linen closet, and shower over tub.
Stairs off of the kitchen nook lead down to a family room with a built-in media center, storage closet, and adjacent powder room. The primary bedroom suite enjoys a removable wall of closets, a dreamy walk-in closet, and a sleek ensuite bathroom with a floating dual-sink vanity and a luxurious walk-in shower with cascading waterfall and rain shower heads, two body spray jets, and a handheld wand. Just next to the primary suite is the fourth bedroom, outfitted with an expandable, frosted glass-paneled wall that could be removed to create a larger family room or kept intact for a dedicated fourth bedroom.
The SUV-sized one-car garage is accessible from the family room and provides additional storage space. The deep driveway provides space for a second car. At the front of the garage, the laundry area stands behind a vintage block-glass wall. Additional touches throughout the home include a coat closet, linen closet, Hunter Douglas blinds, bedroom blackout shades, recessed lighting, double-pane windows, and hardwood floors.
The serene and well-maintained backyard is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some fresh air. Grill some dinner and host your meal al-fresco on the deck. Hone your gardening skills in the perimeter planter beds. Play on the low-maintenance flat turfed yard. Or set up a nice sofa set on the lower patio and enjoy a good book or take a nap! There are so many options with this flexible and peaceful space.
Although Miraloma Park is a residential sanctuary, this home is very convenient to amenities, hiking trails, and transit. Just a few blocks away is a retail center on Portola Drive for easy access to Mollie Stone’s, CVS, Starbucks, nail salons, and restaurants. Numerous outdoor adventures await just around the corner, including hiking in Glen Canyon, Mt. Davidson, and Twin Peaks, and the playgrounds, parks & recreation centers in Miraloma, Sunnyside, and Glen Park. Commute downtown with convenient MUNI access, or zip down to the I-280 access or Glen Park BART via the back route to O’Shaughnessy.

Perched along the eastern face of Mount Davidson, Miraloma Park boasts beautiful views and homes in a wide variety of architectural styles. Most of the neighborhood's homes were conceived as a single development constructed prior to WWII. Today, it is home to families of all ages and backgrounds. Mount Davidson is the highest hill in San Francisco and offers an abundance of invigorating walks with surprising views around every bend. Miraloma Park's proximity to Glen Canyon makes it an ideal destination for those who thrive on nature but can't always get out of the city. When it's time to venture back indoors, residents convene along the small commercial strip on Portola that serves the area. Here you'll find high-end groceries, coffee shops and bakeries, as well as basic services like a drugstore and gas station. While nights are quiet, many residents delight in the dining options afforded in nearby Glen Park and West Portal. Miraloma Park is home to a classic clubhouse built around 1940 and operated by the Miraloma Park Improvement Club. It hosts many private events as well as an annual holiday bazaar, just one of many events that encourage neighbors to get together.
